Peer Review Process
Initial evaluation of manuscripts
Upon submission of a manuscript to the Jurnal Focus Manajemen UPMI, the Editor-in-Chief will assess its suitability for publication. Manuscripts that do not align with the journal's focus and scope will be rejected outright without any external review. Potential manuscripts will be reviewed by external independent experts, and the Editor-in-Chief will make a decision based on their recommendations from among several possibilities: rejected, require major revision, need minor revision, or accepted. The final decision on publication will be made following a double-blind peer review, which will consider the articles' relevance and contribution to both theory and practical development. Both editors and external independent reviewers will provide feedback to the authors regarding the evaluation results. Ultimately, the Editor-in-Chief has the final decision on which manuscripts will be published in the journal.
Review reports
Reviewers are asked to evaluate whether the manuscript:
- Is original by stating the objectives and gap clearly
- Is methodologically sound
- Follows appropriate ethical guidelines
- Has results/findings which are clearly presented and support the conclusions
- Correctly references previous relevant work
- Reviewers are not expected to correct or copyedit manuscripts. Language correction is not part of the peer review process.
Decision
Reviewers advise the editor, who is responsible for the final decision to accept or reject the article. The Editors will reach a decision based on these reports and, where necessary, they will consult with members of the Editorial Board. Editor’s decision is final.
